Designing a world of work that works for everyone
Indeed reached out in 2021 to ask me to lead their Job Seeker Accelerator, a specialized, startup-like UX group tackling complex job seeker challenges and shaping strategy across teams. I came for one role, but it quickly grew into something much bigger.
Four years of saying yes
They recruited me for one role. Then kept coming back. Accelerator. AI Infrastructure & Experimentation. Job Seeker Accessibility. UX Activation. Every new scope was a hand on my shoulder: we need someone we trust here.
By 2024, I led 100+ UX professionals globally (directors, managers, researchers, and designers), all focused on helping people get jobs:
Global UX Research: user insights and strategy across all products
Global Content Design: clarity in content structures and AI tuning across all products
AI Infrastructure & Experimentation UX: exploring AI's role in job search and recruiting, and making sure Indeed was ready for an evolving world
End-to-End Experiences: the evolution of my original Job Seeker Accelerator, an internal design consultancy solving cross-team challenges and supporting executive strategy
What I Built
Vision work: Led UX Research vision for FY2025. Shaped product visions for Job Seeker experiences (2023) and the full Marketplace (2024).
Accessibility leadership: Owned accessibility for all Job Seeker products (2023-2024), creating streamlined SLOs for the company that made compliance achievable.
First-of-its-kind features: Built Indeed's first Job Seeker preferences experience (2022), capturing critical matching data for the first time.
Innovation teams: Led the Job Seeker Accelerator (2021-2023) and Indeed Research UX, our experimental team for innovation R&D (dissolved in RIF 2023)
Design system rollout: Managed Indeed's new design system and brand launch across all Job Seeker products (2021).
Selected Projects
A shared story for the future of hiring
Led the creation of Indeed's Marketplace vision at a transformative moment for the company (2024). Orchestrated alignment with executive leadership (including our Head of Product, Head of UX, and CEO) while directing the design team, establishing visual direction, and crafting the narrative that explored how we could put AI to work for real humans in hiring.
A unified framework for job preferences
Led the creation of Indeed's first consistent, scalable framework for collecting job seeker preferences (2022). Aligned cross-functional stakeholders and guided the design team to establish patterns that would work across products and set new standards for preference experiences company-wide.
Bringing Indeed’s new identity to life
Led the rollout of Indeed's biggest brand transformation in company history across all Job Seeker products (2021). Partnered with Brand leadership to coordinated implementation across Job Seeker experiences to bring Indeed's commitment to accessibility and inclusion to life for millions of users. YouTube video
